UK Mobile Number Prefixes: What 07 Numbers Mean
UK mobile numbers start with 07 and are 11 digits long. The digits after the 0 are a prefix, such as 07441 or 07700, followed by six more digits. People often search for a prefix when they get a call from a number they do not know.
A prefix tells you that a number is a mobile. It does not tell you who the caller is or which network they use now, because UK customers can keep their number when they switch provider. Look up the full number in the search box above to see any reports from other people.

Mobile number questions
What do 07 numbers mean?
UK numbers starting 07 are mobile numbers, with a few exceptions: 070 numbers are personal numbers, 076 numbers were set aside for pagers, and 07624 numbers are Isle of Man mobiles. A full mobile number is 11 digits long.
Does the prefix show which network a mobile number is on?
No. UK customers can keep their number when they change network, so the network a number started on is not always the network it uses today.
Is 070 a mobile number?
No. 070 numbers are "personal numbers". They look like mobile numbers, but calls to them can cost much more than a call to a mobile, so be careful about calling one back.
Is there an area code for mobile numbers?
No. Mobile numbers have no area code, so the five digits after the 0 do not show where the person is.
How do I find out who called from a 07 number?
Type the full number into the search box. Number Finder shows the number type and any reports that visitors have left about it.
